The biggest highlight of this edition is the decorative sleeve. Several elaborate steps are necessary to refine the detailed pelican motif on the barrel. The special pelican motif is refined by hand by a goldsmith with many expressive details, so that the very individual expression
givesthe writing instrument its vibrancy. Two pelican motifs can be seen on the surrounding 925 sterling silver sleeve: a small pelican stands together in front of a pelican with widened wings and the second motif shows a pelican with an open beak. Both motifs are framed by ornaments. During the manufacturing process, the design is etched onto the sleeve and then the filigree details are stitched by hand. Finally, the surface of the barrel is coated with palladium.
The fountain pen is fitted with a 18-carat/750 rhodinized gold nib. The Toledo M910 White is available only for a limited time and comes in a high-quality, white piano lacquered Toledo gift box.
